CORPUS CHRISTI - Normangee FFA members and advisErs joined fellow members and guests on July 13-16 at the record-setting Texas FFA State Convention in Corpus Christi.
"The Sparkling City by the Sea" is known for its magnificent attractions, which include the Municipal Marina, the Texas State Aquarium and the USS Lexington to name a few. This year, a new attraction made history, as 11,000 members and guests converged on Corpus Christi for the largest State FFA Convention ever recorded.
Normangee FFA members served as voting delegates and represented the Normangee chapter at the Ag-Science Fair, leadership development workshops, general sessions and informational meetings during the weeklong event. The convention theme "It Starts with One" challenged and inspired participants to become that "one" positive influence in their chapters, school and community.
Normangee FFA members attending included Cole Swearingen, Will Byrd, Lariat Emley, Seth Winn, Sara Smith, Austin Acord, Laci Seelye, Austin Hutchins, Samantha Corgey, Allie Acord, Abby Malkey and Dava Oxford.
